Monthly Trips


Bowling Trip to Spare Time
Thursday, February 22nd

Join Heineberg Community Senior Center and Champlain Senior Center on a fun trip! We’ll enjoy lunch at our Center then leave for Spare Time at 1pm. We’ll return at 3:30. Cost is $7 and includes lunch, transportation and bowling.

Terrarium Making and Lunch

Tuesday, March 20th, Van leaves our Center at 10:30 am

We’ll be guided through planting our own terrariums to take home, then enjoy a lunch in the café surrounded by beautiful vegetation and a fountain.

Lunch sandwich choices:

Caprese: made with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil pesto and maple balsamic on rosemary focacciA

Vermonter: made with turkey, apples, cheddar, onion and cranberry dressing on whole wheat.
Total cost is $10 – this includes transportation, lunch and terrariums. We encourage you to join us March 13th to paint your terracotta pot!

New! Scrabble group
This group will meet to play Scrabble once or twice a month. Be sure to check our calendar for upcoming dates. Scrabble games in March are Thurs, March 1 and 22 at 1:00 pm and will be played in our lower level library

FREE “HANDS in the Kitchen” workshop series.

Topics covered will include: shopping on a budget, one-pot meals, healthy snacks, cooking with herbs, food through the decades made healthier, and more.
The series will be offered every Thursday from February 1- March 8 at 9:30 am at our Center (full press release here)

- Samantha Mitchell, SASH Wellness Nurse, presents the Owner’s Manual to Our Bodies series. This month ’s topic: Muscles.

February 26th-
TED Talk- Archaeology from Space and Underwater Caves.  

March 5th - TED Talk: Biomimicry: What We Can Learn From Nature

March 12th- Chat with Beth: participants and volunteers are invited to join Beth for a casual discussion. All ideas, questions, and feedback are welcomed. New 2018 surveys will be distributed.

March 19th - Samantha Mitchell, SASH Wellness Nurse, presents the Owner’s Manual to Our Bodies series. This month’s topic: Bones

March 26th- CP Smith 2nd graders will lead us in a mindfulness circle. We’ll discuss how to live a mindful and thankful life.

March Birthday Luncheon

Everyone Welcome to help us celebrate!
Lunch is $5 or FREE for participants with March birthdays. We will be having Domino’s Pizza
(cheese, pepperoni, or veggie), green salad, and birthday cake Contact the Center to make a reservation

St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon

Wednesday, March 14th at 11:30am

Join us for Irish beef and vegetable stew, corn bread, lime Jello with fruit & topping, and a cookie. Vegetarian option: potato soup with bread and a cookie. Our festive luncheon will begin with a fun sing-along, lead by our singing group at 11:30 am.
